119.4 How to export XML data using the Data Loader?

The DataLoader is used for importing and exporting data from/in  csv, XML or json file format. We can do export Starting from Outbound interface. 

Data Loader is running in Bulk mode. If we want to send data to email, we can check the flag batch mode.

Note
To use this mode please make sure that we have library SKYVVA__Workspace. If not go to create it.

In this tutorial we are showing usecase with differnt XML format:

  1. Flat XML,
  2. Attribute XML
  3. XML Special Character
  4. XML Copy Node

Usecase1:

Objective:  Export flat xml File with outbound Interface without message type.

Pre-require:

  • Create or upload Message Type.
  • Create Integration and Inbound Interface
  • Do mapping

Steps to use flat xml File with Outbound Interface

Step 1: Create or Upload Message Type.

  • Go to create Metadata provider => create Repository => Upload or create Message Type.
  • Here’s Message Type.

Step2: Create Integration and Outbound Interface.

  • Create Outbound Interface and Linked Message Type with the Interface.
  • Click save.

Step3: Do mapping.

Step4: Go Integration and click Data Loader.

  • Choosing Function Export Data. And click Next button.

 

  • Select Interface. And click Next button.

  • Choosing Data Type XML. And click Next Button

  • Fill file Name and click Export file.

  • It’s will download automatic.

  • Here’s the result. duo message type has namespace so it will get name space also.

Usecase2:

Objective:  Export flat xml File with outbound Interface without message type.

  • Create Integration and Inbound Interface
  • Do mapping

Steps to use flat xml File with Outbound Interface

Step 1: Create or Upload Message Type.

  • Go to create Metadata provider => create Repository => Upload or create Message Type.
  • Here’s Message Type.

  • In Message Type Account has Message Entry type Attribute. Because the data that I will upload has attribute field.

Step2: Create Inbound Interface and link with Message Type.

Step3:  Do mapping.

Step4: Go to Integration and click Data Loader.

  • We do like the same way as the first case.

  • After we push, we can go to monitor to see the result.

Usecase3:

Objective:  Export XML Special Character File with outbound Interface without message type.

Pre-require:

  • Create or upload Message Type.
  • Create Integration and outbound Interface
  • Do mapping

Steps to use XML Special Character with Outbound Interface

 

Step 1: Create or Upload Message Type.

  • Go to create Metadata provider => create Repository => Upload or create Message Type.
  • Here’s Message Type special character “.”.

Step2:

  • Create Outbound Interface and linked with Message Type.

Step3:  do mapping

Step4: Go to Integration and click Data Loader.

Do Like the case outbound Flat xml.

  • It will download automatic.

  • Here’s the result.

XML CopyNode

Usecase4:

Objective:  Export XML CopyNode with outbound Interface without message type.

Pre-require:

  • Create or upload Message Type.
  • Create Integration and outbound Interface
  • Do mapping

Step 1: Create or Upload Message Type.

  • Go to create Metadata provider => create Repository => Upload or create Message Type.
  • Here’s Message Type special character “.”.

Step2: Create Integration and Interface.

  • Create Outbound Interface and linked with Message Type.

Step3:  do mapping

Step4:  Go to Integration and Interface.

  • Do like the cases outbound XML flat.

  • Here’s the result
